The University spends approximately £75m on goods, works and services each year. These range from IT hardware and software to laboratory consumables and equipment, from catering supplies to large scale construction contracts. It is committed to ensuring that it gains value for money through its procurement activity and subsequent contract management.

The University's Procurement Regulations require all contracts with a total value of £50k+ to be tendered using its preferred e-tendering system Delta; where procurers are encouraged to openly advertise their contract opportunities to all suppliers registered on the system. It is free for suppliers to register on the system.
